Great Beginnings is an early intervention program for children who demonstrate unique learning styles. We help children learn to communicate effectively and to build and establish relationships with others so that they can successfully transition into the most appropriate typical school setting. It began in 1965 at the Lynn Center as one of Contra Costa ARC's original programs, and has provided early intervention services to thousands of children in Contra Costa County.
| WHO WE SERVE
Great Beginnings is designed for children from birth to age three (up to age 6 at Lynn Center in Brentwood, when referred by a school district, after the child turns 3) who demonstrate developmental delays or are at risk for such delays.

WHAT WE DO
Great Beginnings helps children learn new skills using techniques and methodologies specifically designed for each individual child.
We operate daily, Monday through Friday, in preschool settings.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY
Children in Great Beginnings are referred to us by the Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) and local school districts. For more information, contact 925-625-4918.

Our programs are family-focused. Interventions and strategies respect racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity as well as unique family differences. We recognize the family and professional partnership as the key to early intervention and preschool success.
